I've mentored teams and individuals for close to two decades now, working in the spheres of both traditional screen-based video games, and spatially immersive XR experiences. I find it to be really rewarding - it's nice to be able to understand what creative developers go through in their day-to-day lives, and help them negotiate past their challenges, and keep them on the optimum path to their goals.
I like to work with anyone where I think my advice can help them build their best reality, both in terms of enabling them to better develop their creative ideas, and in offering actionable steps that can help them get there. I feel like I've learned a lot of lessons along my way, and I'm happy sharing my lesson notes with you. Let's be honest, a lot of the hardest lessons are classes you really should try and skip, and the best tricks and short-cuts can't be found in the usual textbooks. So - maybe not your usual Yoda / Mister Miyagi figure, perhaps a bit more of a Cheeky Gandalf or maybe a way-less-cool Morpheus only without the sunglasses.

30m Initial Consultation
You tell me about your project, your goals, your needs. I listen, ask questions, and offer some courses of action and avenues you might investigate. I won't hold back or tease - I'm going to try and give you the best advice I can here, as a sample of how useful it would be to have me on the other end of the phone as a mentor and supporter for your work, so have your notepads ready!
For Larger Businesses and Corporate Clients
These mentoring services are aimed at helping larger teams of developers or creative individuals wanting the benefits of over a decade of immersive design experience and wisdom available on-tap to elevate their existing in-house knowledge and expertise, and to support them moving forward. Having helped countless projects to move to their next business milestone, I am always mentoring my clients, removing obstacles, and fast tracking their path to success.
For Corporate Consultancy and Large Project mentoring, we'll have a free initial call to discuss your situational needs, your project goals and constraints, and if I can help and you're interested, we can identify the amount of mentoring time you think you'll need.
Mentoring sessions can be booked hourly, or in 4-hour or 8-hour blocks, which you can deploy and use as needed. Some projects like to have some time 'in the bank' ready for those sudden changes or inspired ideas that can happen along the way, and know they can pick up a phone and get immediate feedback and advice.
Sessions will be conducted remotely. Time booked can be used as you see fit within a 2 month time period, (for instance 1hr every week for 8 weeks). Longer retainer contracts are available on request.

For Smaller Teams - Startups, Indies, Incubators etc.
At Realised Realities, we're big believers in supporting small projects and individuals to lend them the kinds of expertise and experience that bigger projects benefit from. I'm keen to use my accumulated knowledge and experience to help immersive mediums elevate their quality and appeal across the board, and for I firmly believe that we need big projects and smaller ones too. They all want to be as good as they can be, and they all deserve to tap into knowledge and learnings that can enable that, no matter their team size or budgets.
To that end, for some of our mentoring services we're happy to offer a specially discounted price for those who qualify. I'll let you know during our initial free consultation call if I we can offer the discount, so there's no risk involved.
These Mentoring Services are aimed at helping small teams or individuals to navigate the challenges presented by Immersive Projects and shortcut the early hard learnings, with a particular focus on Planning, Prototyping, User Experience and Immersive Design categories.
We offer 30min sessions which can be booked individually, or in blocks of 3 at a further discount. The 3-session booking may be spread over your choice of timeframe, to support anything from rapid iteration over a short period, regular tutoring, through to periodic check-ins at key points on your project timeline. Whatever works best for you!
